    Advertisements

The conversation started with my colleagues when I saw one of them drinking Vitasoy.

Me: I didn't know that Vitasoy has a new packaging.
Colleague A: Yeah. My mummy said they have a new packaging.
Me: Do you know that there's a song about Vitasoy?
    Colleague A: What song?
Me: Keep drinking Vitasoy, it's the healthy drink we all enjoy. Rich creamy vitasoy, give the flavour a try!
Colleague A: hehehehe... I didn't know it has a song.

    During lunch....
Colleague A: Michelle said there is a song for Vitasoy.
    Me: Yeah. There is what.
    (.. and I started singing)
Colleague B: i never hear before lehs.
Me: Have.. u all don't have childhood mans. I knew it since primary school
COlleague B: I only know the cod liver oil one.

so we both started singing... 衣服本来刚刚好,这么现在穿不上。比比看谁比谁高。自牧多鱼肝油一起陪我成长。

So what are the advertisements that you remembered vividly till today?

    Some things never change....

The below are based on my observations on the MRT:
Stands at doors and refuses to move in as though the MRT needs door guards.
Occupies pirority seat meant for elderly, pregnant lady and parents with kids.
Plays the music loudly as though we all share the same music taste.
Talks loudly on the mobile phone sharing his/her conversation with the rest.
Publicly showcasing love language of hugging, etc.
Peeping at other people's newspapers, PSP,etc.
Sorry, Excuse me and Thank You were never in their dictionary.
Did i mention that there are SMRT staffs to ask people to move into the cabin during early morning crowds?
Job creation and how sickening to know that it's their nature not to move in.
Sigh... I wished to see something better.
Don't think it's possible anytime soon so I have lived with it.
    Oh wells....

    I need a Hug!

Lots of things happened at work lately.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong.
How I wished these problems could just disappear.
I am praying for a clear sky soon.
Had a pretty smooth journey last year.
so I guess the real test is starting.

    Starting to doubt myself again.
Gotta get a hold of myself.
I know I can do it!
I will overcome and can overcome for my God is greater than my problems.
God will make a way when there seems to be no way.
I want to cry it all out.
Feel like going to the airport to look at airplanes...
and have a tub of ice-cream.
    I need a hug!

    I feel Appreciated!

A pleasant surprise chased away the Monday Blues today.
While i was burying myself at work, a colleague left a box of Royce chocolates on my table and left.
I was dumb founded by his actions so I msn him to ask.
It turned out that he simply want to thank me for helping him with the recent report.
That's really nice of him yet i felt guilty. Read on to find out why...

Me: Why did you give me chocolates?
    He: To thank you.
Me: oh my goodness!!! You're making me feel guilty you know?
    He: Why?
Me: Coz i keep scolding you and all yet you still bought me chocolates.
    He: it's okie.

Gosh!!!! I really felt bad you know? A little history. I was suppose to help him with some reports which he has to reconcile at his end. Yet somehow, along the way there was miscommunication and it turned out that part of the report I did was not what he wanted.... so I had to redo. It was seriously painful for me as the report was tedious and by the time he told me it was my peak period.

Along the way he chased me for it yet it was tough on my end as I had other tasks that were more important. So I kept scolding him for making me do it all over again and all. Well, I didn't exactly scold him. It's more of complaining how busy I was and letting him know how tedious it was to do it all over again... and all these while he didn't even scold me back. sigh.. I felt awful.

On the hindsight i felt appreciated. He's not the 1st person that gave me chocolates in my company. There were colleagues who went to Paris and got me chocolates too.. and not forgetting those who gave me sweets, chocolates and presents along the way. I never felt that there was so much satification in my life before.

When I was in my previous job, these were uncommon. I went great lengths for my customers yet I did not receive the treatment I deserve. Not even a simple word of Thank You! Is a word of Thank You that difficult to utter? That was all I was looking for. Gifts has never been my love language. A simple word of appreciation makes my day! Feeling appreciated simply keeps the passion to serve within me going.

The pasture is always greener on the other side. I am glad I found my pasture. =)

    Birthdays..

It is usually rare that the same family member shares the same birthday as you.
Well, it's not me but my mum and sis.
So it's crab feast for us this time.
Celebrated my mum and sister's birthday over chilli crab, salted egg crab and bee hoon crab.
3 crabs + cereal prawns + fried toufu + 2 cans of coke costs $188.
Since I sponspored my sis 21st birthday chalet I thought I better treat my mum to this meal else she'll probably comment that I am bias.
Though we all felt that the price was WAY too pricy for just the 4 of us, I thought it was a good meal together.
The salted egg crab was indeed superb. 2 thumbs up for its unique taste.
I spent quite abit this July on my family.
The thing is...I really 舍得花这笔钱 on my family but not on myself.
    I need a Handphone!

    Lunch Conversations

A simple conversation during lunch with my usual lunch kakis and my boss can bring back memories that I'm glad I did not forget. Reminiscing the past on what songs we grew up with took up our entire lunch hour.

What I grew up listening to were songs from Sandy Lam 林忆莲。 Grasshoppers 草蜢。Little Tigers 小虎队。Aaron Kwok 郭富城。LA boys .... and the list goes on ...

and not forgetting ... the evergreens. Theresa Teng, ABBA, Air Supply...
Thanks to my dad who plays their songs regularly at home up till today.

Something I find amazing is that all of us were able to sing Theresa Teng's songs without having to look at the lyrics. Perhaps the lyrics back then are pretty much straight forward and easy to remember.

I still remember the time when I was in primary school. Whenever Aaron Kwok's "对你爱爱爱不完”is playing, I always make sure that I listen to the entire song before getting down from the van. At home, I will also immitate his trademark action. Gosh! I still remember it till now!

... 对你爱爱爱不完. 我可以天天月月年年到永远. So We Love Love Love Tonight. 不愿意丝丝点点些些去面对.......

hahaahahahaha.... I love reminiscing my childhood days!
